Swedese Wins the Innovator of the Year Award 2024
The Growth Foundation in Jönköping County has named Swedese the Innovator of the Year in Vaggeryd Municipality.
The Growth Foundation in Jönköping County, together with Science Park and the municipalities of the region, has established the Innovator of the Year award. The goal is to promote and support innovation and entrepreneurship in the county while highlighting role models who inspire others to think big through their work.
The award is presented annually in all 13 municipalities within the county. This year, Swedese was honored with the prestigious recognition in Vaggeryd Municipality.
Motivation:
“The Innovator of the Year 2024 is a true ambassador of Småland’s quality craftsmanship, where the company combines classical techniques with a modern vision. Through its design and product development, sustainability is placed at the forefront—with a construction that not only ensures longevity but also enables reuse and infinite circulation of materials.
Swedese serves as a role model for circular thinking and has created new business opportunities with its new business area, Swedese Repair. Through strategic collaborations, they highlight their products’ ability to renew and adapt to future needs.
The Innovator of the Year 2024 is Swedese—a company that inspires all of us to rethink, innovate, and embrace sustainability.”
“Swedese is a fantastic example of how companies in our municipality can combine tradition and innovation to meet future needs. Their work with sustainability and the circular economy is not only inspiring but also paves the way for other companies aiming to develop and contribute to a more sustainable world,” says Johan Thorsell, Business Development Manager in Vaggeryd Municipality.
“We are grateful and proud to receive this award. Sustainability and long-term thinking are extremely important to Swedese, so it’s truly exciting to see our work being recognized,” says Nellie Patino, co-owner.
