With its soft and sweeping lines, combined with a narrow back, Stella high back, by Broberg & Riddertråle, has a sophisticated and low-key expression. This makes it as suitable in a corporate conference room as in informal settings and home offices.
Stella high back is a graceful and comfortable armchair that stands out in its category with a
neat and elegant construction. Both seat and back are supported by one singular steel tube, which also acts as armrests. The steel stand is made uniquely for the Stella chairs, offering adjustable height as well as an optional tilt function.
The simplicity of Stella high back lies in the fact that the chair really only consists of three components – the frame, the seat and the armrest. All three can be customized, resulting in different looks and different uses. This allows the chair to become more durable, have a more streamlined feel or be made more playful.

The Stella chairs are designed by the Swedish design duo Broberg & Ridderstråle. They tell us how Stella came about.
“The idea behind Stella was to create an office chair that offered good comfort and such subtle, neat lines that it would work just as well at home as in an office,” says Johan Ridderstråle.
“Creating something that works in both these contexts is a real balancing act. It’s also one of the things that makes Stella such a good fit for Swedese, which manages to stand firmly in both camps,” Mats Broberg adds.
