Figur table in ash

The stair table Figur got its name & inspiration from the silhouette of a student sitting on a bench. Linköping University and White Arkitekter commissioned Björn Sundelin to furnish the new campus student cafe in a step-shaped ledge. Early in the design process, Björn got an idea for small tables that would look like little figures, the idea was that it would feel like the cafe was never empty. Figure has an organic expression to contrast with the otherwise hard and angular ledge. The tables are mounted on a staircase, bench or podium or other ledge, bracket is included. Figur is veneered in ash or oak and has a lazur finish to highlight the surface and structure of the wood.
